EV Masterclass and T Hub celebrate the graduation ceremony of 200+ students of it’s prestigious flagship EVEP Program.

“EV sales in India which are 1.17 million today are predicted to exceed 9 million units by 2027 and the industry is estimated to create 50 million jobs by 2030 and EV Masterclass attempts to cater to at least a 10% of the total demand” says Rajeev YSR, Chief Mentor EV Masterclass.

“Well that seems to be an ambitious target, but an ambitious country like India and an industry like Electric Vehicles, needs ambitious yet achievable targets” He adds.

With the Production Linked Incentive schemes for manufacturing of Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) of Rs. 18,000 Crores and Rs. 25,938 Cr for Automobile and Auto components that are being pumped into the system over the next 5 years, there is no doubt the electric vehicle industry achieves such numbers and thus India is leaving no stone unturned to emerge as both the Global Market and the Manufacturing Leader of the industry.

“However, the biggest threat to the EV Industry right now is non availability of relevant talent pool who could solve the problems in this Industry and propel this victoriously. Be it as skilled professionals or entrepreneurs.

In a context like this, T Hub, the World’s Largest Incubator and EV Masterclass, an initiative by the industry, of the industry and for the Industry have come together and launched the Electric Vehicle Entrepreneur Program that is creating  great curiosity and garnering a lot of attention among the stakeholders.

The first of it’s initiative and innovative program nurtures young engineers into skilled professionals as well as entrepreneurs by not only providing them with the needed theoretical and engineering knowledge but also giving them an exposure to the industries and letting them solve the practical problems at hand in the industry.

The comprehensive and immersive program, was designed to equip aspiring engineers with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to the development and advancement of electric vehicles. Over the course of 2 months, participants are engaged in a rigorous curriculum that covered key aspects such as EV design, battery technology, charging infrastructure, business models, policy insights and other sustainable mobility solutions.

EV Masterclass and T Hub are proud to announce the successful completion of the Electric Vehicle Entrepreneurship Program 3rd Cohort, that has equipped and empowered a new generation of electric vehicle (EV) engineers as well as entrepreneurs. The graduation ceremony, held on 20th June at T Hub, marked a momentous occasion as participants received the certificates as well as jobs in the august presence of Industry Leaders. The EV Masterclass witnessed the graduation of 200 engineers and of 40 students who opted for placements, 20+ members received job opportunities from Companies such as JLN Phoenix, Axiom Energy Conversion Pvt ltd and ETO Motors.

“Apart from just nurturing this EV talent, the cohort also aims to nurture and develop EV Entrepreneurs and enable the mushrooming of startups in the Electric Vehicle Ecosystem. The goal is to at least erect 100+ startups in the next 2 years and nurture at least few 10s of them to be Unicorns in the coming years.  To this context, a 2 day EV boot camp is being planned with an intent to provide market access, business access, Funds access, as well as B2B/B2G engagements so that startups can walk out of the boot camp with customer orders in place. This is definitely possible with the right collaboration within the Industry and EV Masterclass enables such synergy” He continues to add.

For example, few companies which are associated with EV Masterclass such as Comuti Energy, Piqyu and Gear Head motors have discovered business opportunities with in the ecosystem that’s adding immense value to the EV Industry. This is one of many such testimonials that were enabled by EV Masterclass.

The graduation ceremony served as a platform for participants to not only receive the certificates and jobs but also interact with the esteemed industry leaders and understand the future and scope of EVs first hand from them.

The cohort students had opportunity to visit the manufacturing facilities of ETO Motors, India’s leading 3 wheeler manufacturing company,  Axiom Conversion Energy Pvt Ltd – specialized in making chargers, Gear Head Motors – that manufactures electric tricycles and bi cycles and also Telangana pride to represent at Shark tank  and Lion Energy, a technology driven battery pack manufacturer.

“We were not only able to understand the theory and engineering behind electric vehicle technology but also witness and experience the design, testing and best production practices as well as cutting edge technologies in place through these visits”. Says Manasa one of the cohort participants.

“Our college has witnessed an increase in the placement of core engineering branches because of this EV Masterclass and this has become part of our curriculum. And I strongly recommend all the engineering colleges to execute such programs and thus revive the diminishing core engineering branches and provide new opportunities to them”, says Sri. Kanaka Durga, Principle, MVSR Engineering college.

The event witnessed the august presence of the following industry leaders and the graduates are very much benefitted by the deep insights shared by these eminent personalities.

Mr.Siva Prasad, Co Founder CTO, Comuti Energy, Mr. Phani, Founder, CEO, Comuti Energy,

Mr. Pashanth Reddy, Founder CEO – Piqyu were present during the event and Mr. Amitabh Saran, Founder CEO, Altigreen addressed the students virtually.

Sri. Mahankali Srinivas said, T hub is incredibly proud to partner with EV Masterclass in building the EV ecosystem and am very much inspired by the graduates of the EV Masterclass. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to driving the transition towards sustainable transportation are truly commendable. We firmly believe that their knowledge and skills will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of electric mobility. And we are looking to extend this program to other universities and organizations as well.”

Considering such a demand, we have opened up the registrations for the 4th cohort, and also soon organize an Electric Vehicle Boot camp in July with an objective to Educate, Equip and Empower; we wish to see at least few 100s of startups emerging and participating in this boot camps that further fosters growth of EV Ecosystem.

As the world embraces a future with cleaner and more efficient transportation, the EV Masterclass serves as a testament to the commitment to spearhead innovation and contribute to the global efforts in mitigating climate change. The program has successfully prepared a cohort of talented individuals who are equipped to make a positive impact in the electric mobility sector.
