Vighnesh: Sir, welcome to IT Voice. It’s a pleasure to have you with us today.
Virender Singh: Thank you, Vighnesh. I am delighted to be here and share the story of Digital Live Services with you and your audience.

Vighnesh: Let’s begin by talking about your professional journey. What was the path that led you to start Digital Live Services, and what inspired you to venture into the EdTech and IT hardware industry?
Virender Singh: My journey in IT spans almost 30 years. For the last 4-5 years, I have been deeply involved in education technology (EdTech), even though my background is primarily in IT. The industry we are in is often categorized as audio-visual technology, but it is so much more than that.

We started this company around five years ago, just before COVID hit, and when the pandemic came, it acted as a boost for us. We focused on providing complete solutions, including hardware, which eventually led us to realize that hardware manufacturing was a better business model.
We started working on solutions for digital classrooms, providing hardware to support audio and video needs. As time went on, we focused more on improving and innovating in the hardware sector. That’s how Digital Live Services was born.

Vighnesh: Digital Live Services is a proud “Make in India” brand. Can you tell us more about the products you offer, like your interactive flat panels (IFPs), PTZ cameras, and microphones? How do these products cater to the education sector?
Virender Singh: Yes, we started with interactive flat panels (IFPs), which were initially a very high-cost product—around ₹5-7 lakh. At that time, only big brands like Panasonic and Sony were bringing these to India. We saw an opportunity and began making them more affordable. Today, the market has shifted significantly, and our company played a key role in bringing down the cost of IFPs to make them more accessible to schools and educational institutions.
In addition to IFPs, we also provide PTZ cameras, microphones, and operating systems tailored for the education sector. For example, our IFPs come equipped with the latest technology, offering teachers tools like screen recording and interactive teaching aids, all while ensuring affordability.

Vighnesh: That’s remarkable! Digital Live Services has clearly disrupted the market by making such high-tech products affordable. What else sets your company apart from the competition in the EdTech hardware space?
Virender Singh: The biggest factor that sets us apart is our focus on innovation and the local development of technology. Unlike others who just import ready-made products from China, we meticulously plan and design our products. Every quarter, we review the market, analyze the demand, and innovate accordingly. For instance, we were the first to introduce the 88-inch panel in India, and we’ve also launched products like 4K panels and zero-bonding displays, which were previously considered high-end features.
Our approach has always been to offer the latest technology at a price point that is accessible to educational institutions across India, even in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.

Vighnesh: That’s fascinating! Can you elaborate on some of the innovative projects and milestones Digital Live Services has achieved, particularly in terms of making educational technology accessible?
Virender Singh: Absolutely. One of our proudest achievements is making digital classrooms affordable. We managed to bring down the price of an IFP setup from ₹5-7 lakh to around ₹1.5 lakh. This allowed even smaller schools to adopt modern technology, transforming the way they teach.
Another key innovation was in our operating systems.

We introduced the EDLA (Enterprise Device Licensing Agreement) certification, which ensures that our devices are secure, unlike the many non-licensed systems in the market. We also developed an all-in-one solution that eliminates the need for additional hardware like PCs, reducing both cost and complexity for schools.
We are also working on launching new products such as AI-powered cameras, and we recently became the first Indian company to receive certification for our EDLA system, a secure, scalable solution for classrooms.

Vighnesh: What future plans do you have for Digital Live Services, especially regarding expanding into new markets or introducing new products?
Virender Singh: We’re looking at many new avenues, including expanding our footprint in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where the need for affordable, high-quality educational technology is greatest. Our goal is to digitalize every classroom in India. We are also working on developing mini PCs and cloud-based content management systems, which will further enhance the learning experience while reducing costs for schools.

Additionally, we are planning to introduce new products like 64-point touch panels and AI-integrated cameras. These will offer schools cutting-edge technology at an affordable price point, allowing even the most remote schools to provide their students with the best educational experience possible.

Vighnesh: That’s truly a visionary approach! What is your philosophy on education technology and how do you see it transforming the Indian education system in the coming years?
Virender Singh: My belief is that education should be a right, not a privilege. Unfortunately, in India, we still see a significant gap between the urban and rural education systems. Only about 5% of classrooms in India are digitalized, while countries like the US and China have nearly 100% digital classrooms.
Our goal at Digital Live Services is to close that gap by making technology accessible to every student in India, regardless of their geographical location or economic background. By providing affordable, high-quality digital education solutions, we aim to equip every classroom with the tools they need to deliver a world-class education.

Vighnesh You’ve highlighted some incredible challenges and opportunities in India’s education system. How does Digital Live Services plan to contribute to making India’s classrooms truly digital in the next 5-10 years?
Virender Singh: The task ahead is enormous, but we are committed to digitalizing as many classrooms as possible. With over 1 crore classrooms in India, of which only 5 lakh are currently digitalized, there is a lot of work to be done. But we believe that with the right government policies and collaboration with educational institutions, we can achieve our goal.

Our vision is to provide every classroom with the tools they need to succeed. This includes not just hardware, but also software and services that enhance learning outcomes. By offering solutions like AI-powered interactive panels, cloud-based learning platforms, and secure operating systems, we hope to play a pivotal role in transforming India’s education landscape.

Vighnesh: That’s an inspiring vision! Finally, do you have any advice for aspiring entrepreneurs in the EdTech and hardware space?
Virender Singh: My advice is simple: always focus on innovation and quality. In a competitive market like EdTech, it’s easy to get caught up in cutting costs or chasing the latest trends, but the real key to success is creating products that offer value to the end user.
Stay committed to your mission and never compromise on quality. At Digital Live Services, we believe that when you create products that genuinely improve people’s lives, success will follow.
Vighnesh: Thank you so much, Virender Sir, for sharing your journey and insights with us. It was truly inspiring to hear about the work Digital Live Services is doing to transform education in India.

Virender Singh: Thank you, Vighnesh, and thanks to IT Voice for giving me this platform to share our story. We look forward to continuing our journey and contributing to the digital education revolution in India.
Vighnesh: Thank you, Sir, and all the best for your future endeavors!
