Online calling and messaging app, LINE is now offering free talk time (FTT) for its users in India, with up to Rs 50 credit support. However, the FTT is not a direct share-out, it is more like a voucher redeem strategy that is rolled out to promote the recently added features.
To redeem the free talk time on your smartphone, you will have to download the LINE Characters in Love sticker pack in your messaging app. Then, you will have to send these stickers to five LINE friends. The FTT credit will be transferred in your account, all you have to do is tap to register.
Daman Soni, Head of India Business Development, LINE said, “LINE is well on its way to becoming the most preferred social communications application in India. The download numbers are on a constant upsurge and are engaging with a far greater number of users now. We are passionate about conversations and introducing Free Talk Time (FTT) would give LINE users another reason to connect with friends,” in a company statement.
The offer is open for all prepaid and post-paid customers connected via Windows Phone, iOS, Android and BlackBerry OS platforms. Further, LINE is also releasing the localised character stickers designed and created by Indian artistes and illustrators. LINE app extends to 230 countries, and was launched in India, in July of 2013. Currently, it has more than 17 million registered users in India.
