The Pixel 8 and 8 Pro are scheduled to be launched on October 4 during Google’s “Made by Google” event. While leaks and rumors have already provided extensive details about these new smartphones, one crucial piece of information that had remained undisclosed was their pricing. That gap has now been filled, thanks to a recent report that reveals the European prices, storage options, and color choices for these upcoming phones.
According to information sourced from tipster Paras Guglani, as reported by The Tech Outlook, the standard Pixel 8 will be available in European markets with storage options of 128GB and 256GB. Google is expected to offer this model in a range of colors, including Hazel, Obsidian, Rose, and Mint. The 128GB variant is priced at €874.25, inclusive of 23% VAT, while the 256GB version comes in at €949.30, also with 23% VAT.
As for the Pixel 8 Pro, it will be offered with storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and a generous 512GB. Buyers will have a choice of four colors: Bay, Obsidian, Porcelain, and Mint. In the European market, the base model with 128GB storage will be priced at €1,235.72, including the 23% VAT. The high-end 512GB variant will be available at a price point of €1,461.24, VAT included. Additionally, the 256GB storage option will be offered at €1,309.95, also including 23% VAT.
Regarding specifications, the Pixel 8 is expected to feature a slightly smaller 6.17-inch display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels and a peak brightness of 1400 nits. It will also offer a variable refresh rate ranging from 10Hz to 120Hz. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro may sport a larger 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 2992 x 1344 pixels and a peak brightness of 1600 nits.
Both phones are set to be powered by the new Tensor G3 chip, with configurations offering up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of built-in storage. The standard model is expected to house a 4485 mAh battery, while the Pro variant could feature a slightly larger 4950 mAh battery.
