The new Fujifilm X-S20 mirrorless camera has been launched in India, boasting a 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor and an upgraded X-Processor 5 Image Sensor Processing unit, resulting in superior Autofocus (AF) and image quality. The camera’s AI capabilities allow for subject-based AF, enabling it to identify objects like animals and vehicles. This advanced AI-infused AF allows users to adjust shutter speed and framing accordingly.
The X-S20 can record up to 6.2K 10-bit video footage at 30fps in the 4:2:2 aspect ratio and supports F-Log2 with a 13+ stop dynamic range for natural-looking videos. For more professional-grade recording, users can combine the camera with ATMOS HDMI devices and Blackmagic Design Video Assist 12G to capture 6.2K RAW footage at 29.97fps in 12-bit Apple ProRes 2 RAW and Blackmagic RAW formats.
Furthermore, the X-S20 allows easy connectivity to a headset and microphone through a 3.5mm audio combo jack. With a USB-C cable, the camera can be used as a high-quality webcam for live streaming and online meetings by utilizing the FUJIFILM X Webcam 3 software. The camera also introduces a dedicated Vlog Mode that can be accessed through a physical Mode dial.
Other notable features of the X-S20 include 19 dedicated Film Simulation Modes, the X-S series handheld grip for improved handling, a high-capacity NP-W235 battery, a 2.36-million-dot EVF, a rear LCD Monitor, and a five-axis in-body image stabilization (IBIS) with a 7.0 stop advantage.
