Google has introduced its generative artificial intelligence feature to its Search tool in India and Japan.
This functionality, which was initially launched only in the United States, has been extended to these two countries this week.
Users in India and Japan will now have the option to opt in for this AI-powered feature.
In Japan, the feature will be accessible in local languages, while in India, it will be available in both English and Hindi.
This move by Google aims to provide text or visual results to prompts, including summaries, enhancing the search experience for users.
This AI-powered search feature is distinct from Google’s chatbot Bard, which engages in human-like conversations and performs tasks like generating software code.
This initiative by Google also puts its AI search in competition with Microsoft’s Bing search engine.
