With many speculations over the next Nexus tablet settling at a screen size of 20.3-cm (8-inch). The fresh news reports Google to be bringing another bigger tab with 22.6-cm (8.9-inch) display, along with the 20.3-cm Nexus. It may be unveiled after the I/O Conference.
The rumours are accounted by the Digitimes website, which suggests that the new Nexus tablet will be loaded with a display resolution of more than 2K. It will not be unexpected to see that happen since Google’s last large-screen tab, the Nexus 10, came with 2560 x 1600p resolution that is more than 2K.
Digitimes noted in its report, “Digitimes Research has learned that Google is set to release at least two Nexus tablets in 2014 with an 8.9-inch model already under development and set to enter mass production in July.”
Since the site marks production in July, it is highly anticipated that Google may unveil the tablet post the Google I/O Conference 2014. Previously, the company introduced the Nexus 7 in 2013 after the I/O.
The tablet is likely to come with a Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 2 GB RAM along with a 22.6-cm display. It may further pack the latest version of Android with a 5 MP rear camera, 2 MP front camera and the regular set of connectivity options.
Digitimes has further gone ahead to claim that the price of the slate will be around $299. As of now, Google is yet make any confirmations over the specifications, only if the Nexus tablet is really coming.
