Google on Thursday, on the eve of Chromecast’s first birthday, announced a free Google Play Music subscription for Chromecast users.

In a blog post, Google said, “To celebrate Chromecast’s birthday, Google Play Music is offering All Access subscriptions free for 90 days to anyone with a Chromecast (and who isn’t already an All Access subscriber). This offer will be available in the US starting July 24, through September 30.”

Notably, the free Google Play Music All Access subscription for Chromecast users is only available in the US. The company has confirmed that Chromecast users’ who already have the Google Play Music All Access subscription cannot redeem the offer.

The Google Play Music All Access subscription is available at $9.99 a month, without any offer.

Google Chromecast’s support page clearly notes, “Purchasers of a Chromecast will receive a code for a 90 day trial of All Access, the unlimited music service from Google Play, when they set up their Chromecast and visit chromecast.com/offers. Users must set up their All Access account and redeem their code by September 30, 2014 to be eligible for the offer.”

Interested consumers can head to the Chromecast’s offers page to redeem the offer.

The company revealed that since the launch of Chromecast, people have hit cast button more than ‘400 million times’.

Google launched Chromecast, a $35 dongle-shaped device with access to Internet video services like Netflix, YouTube and other content through the HDMI port of TV sets last year. At the launch, Google had offered three months of free Netflix service with a purchase of the Internet-streaming Chromecast.

Earlier this month, Google started rolling out the Android screen mirroring feature for Chromecast. The feature was first announced at the I/O, along with other Chromecast features.
