In July, Honor introduced the Honor Magic V2 foldable smartphone in China. Last week, the company unveiled its global version at the IFA 2023 tech event in Berlin, Germany, but pricing and availability for international markets were not confirmed. According to a report by GSMArena, Honor CEO George Zhao has hinted at the device’s price.
The Honor Magic V2 is expected to be priced similarly to the Magic VS. The Magic VS, which came with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, was priced at 1,599 euros for the global market earlier this year. So, when will it be available for purchase in the global market? According to a recent report, the Magic V2 will be released in Germany, Italy, Spain, Ireland, the UK, and some Latin American markets in 2024.
The Honor Magic V2 features a 7.92-inch foldable LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 2156 x 2344 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1,600 nits of brightness. It also has a 6.43-inch LTPO OLED cover screen on the front with Full HD+ resolution of 2376 x 1080 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,500 nits of brightness. The device runs on Magic OS 7.2, based on Android 13.
Under the hood of the Magic V2 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. The foldable phone offers up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage in the Chinese market. It is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. For security, it features a side-facing fingerprint scanner.
The Magic V2 boasts a 16-megapixel front camera, while the back panel houses a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS support, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens with autofocus support, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with OIS and 2.5x optical zoom.
