HP Comes Up With Five New Launches

HP has started its IFA 2014 journey with a bang as the brand has launched five new consumer devices at the Berlin trade show. The new launches include two colourful Chromebook models, two HP Envy 2-in-1 detachable hybrids and the ultraportable 2-in-1 HP Pavilion x2.

The HP Chromebook in two sizes – 27.94-cm (11-inch) and 35.56-cm (14-inch) – are very thin and light. While the second one is based on an Nvidia Tegra K1 processor and boasts “world-class graphics performance”, the first one is based on an Intel Celeron N2830. Both the models have 1366×768 resolution, 8 hours, 15 minutes of battery life, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac and optional mobile LTE/HSPA modules.

The models also support multi-touch trackpad gestures along with HDMI, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports and both the systems have front-facing webcams and microphones too. The 27.94-cm (11-inch) model is priced at Rs 12,090 and will be available in either turquoise or white. The 35.56-cm (14-inch) model will cost Rs 18,130 and will arrive in turquoise, neon green. orange or silver.

The HP Envy x2 devices are available in 33.78-cm (13.3-inch) and 39.62-cm (15.6-inch) models. Both the devices are powered by Intel Core M processor and ensures great performance as well as longer battery life. The devices feature a fabric-covered backlit Bluetooth keyboard which doubles as a cover. The 33.78-cm (13.3-inch) model comes with up to 256GB of solid-state storage while the 39.62-cm (15.6-inch) model has a 500GB hybrid hard drive, though it’s optional.

HP Pavilion x2 is a 25.4-cm (10-inch) feature-packed Windows tablet with a detachable keyboard cover, to transform it into a laptop. It’s powered by Intel Atom processor. The devices are expected to hit the US markets during the upcoming holiday season.
