IT Voice News : HTC started rolling-out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update to its One (M8) smartphones in India on August 15 . Notably, the Android 4.4.3 update was rolled-out to the One (M8)’s Developer Edition last month.
The Android 4.4.3 KitKat update brings numerous user interface enhancements and performance improvements for the One (M8), as well as notably enables support for 4G LTE networks in India. It also brings some fixes for Open SSL vulnerabilities.
The update was first reported by on the XDA Developers forum where Mumbai-based user ‘n1234d’ posted a screenshot of the changelog of the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the HTC One (M8).
The Android 4.4.3 KitKat update also features improvements for the One (M8)’s native applications, like the Camera, Gallery, HTC Sync Manager and certain tweaks for the power usage history under the Settings app.
The image posted on the forum also shows improved performance for the wireless networks of the One (M8), namely Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Mobile Network. As a part of the update, the smartphone would also receive improvements in the Sense UI.
FoneArena also notes that the Android update will include a bug fix for the LED notification light along with Camera and Boomsound speaker enhancements. Sized at 658.88MB, the update will roll-out to HTC One (M8) smartphones over-the-air.
Last month, HTC rolled-out Android 4.4.3 KitKat update with Sense 6 UI for its One (M8) developer edition.
HTC had launched the One (M8) in India in May, priced at Rs. 49,900, and had promised 4G LTE support would be coming soon.
