iBall has launched a new phablet in the Indian market, the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean-based iBall Andi 5.5N2, priced at Rs. 14,999, with a best buy price of Rs. 13,499. It will be available in a White model, as pictured above.
The smartphone was previously available at an online retailer as the iBall Andi 5.5N2 Quadro, at Rs. 13,215. The iBall Andi 5.5N2 features a 5.5-inch IPS HD (1280×720 pixel) display, and runs on a quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex A7 processor, coupled with 1GB of RAM.
The iBall Andi 5.5N2 bears a 12-megapixel rear autofocus camera with LED flash, apart from a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There is 4GB of inbuilt storage on the Andi 5.5N2 Quadro, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
Connectivity options on the phablet include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS, EDGE, GPS, Micro-USB and 3G HSPA+. iBall is also touting the Andi 5.5N2’s wireless display connectivity via Wi-Fi, but makes no mention of the specific technology used.
Other features on the iBall Andi 5.5N2 include flip to mute gesture control, and a variety of sensors – gravity, proximity, and light. The phone features a 2500mAh battery.
Also recently introduced, was the iBall Andi 4.5-K6, a budget Android smartphone that was listed on the company’s site without price in late December, and also available at an online retailer at Rs. 7,395. iBall Andi4.5-K6 is a dual-SIM, dual-core 3G-enabled smartphone with support for GSM+GSM, and runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Prior to the Andi 4.5-K6, iBall recently also introduced two new affordable smartphones in India, the Andi 5-E7 and Andi 5-M8. Both the iBall Andi 5-E7 and Andi 5-M8 smartphones have been listed at company’s site with Rs. 8,199 and Rs. 8,999 pricing respectively.
