iBall has launched two entry-level smartphones in its Andi series, the iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple 2G and iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple 3G. As the names suggest, only the latter supports 3G connectivity, and the rest of the specifications are identical.
The iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple 2G has been given a best buy price of Rs. 5,499, while the Andi 4.5 Ripple 3G has been given a Rs. 6,399 best buy price. Both the phones will be available in the market starting Tuesday.
The two iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple phones have dual-SIM support, and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. Both variants of the Andi 4.5 Ripple come with a 4.5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixel) display, and run on a 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex A7 chipset coupled with 512MB of RAM.
For camera optics, iBall has given the Andi 4.5 Ripple a 5MP rear camera with LED flash, and a front facing camera (unspecified resolution) for video calling functionality.
Both variants of the iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple 4GB of inbuilt storage, out which around 2GB will be user-available and can be further expanded up to 32GB.
Common connectivity features include FM radio, GPS and A-GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n on the connectivity front. It features a 1500mAh battery capacity. The dimensions and the weight of the handset are not known as of now.
iBall Andi 4.5 Ripple 2G version will be available in Special Grey + Gun Metal and Shiny White + Chrome colour combinations, whereas the 3G variant will be available in Special Wine + Gun Metal and Rich Matt White + Chrome colours combination.
Previously iBall launched the Andi 4-B2 at a best buy price of Rs. 4,499. The Andi 4-B2 runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and features a 4-inch WVGA display. It packs in a similar 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex-A7 processor.
The camera options for iBall Andi 4-B2 include a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and a front-facing VGA camera for video calling.
