iBall has introduced a new Android 4.4 KitKat-powered voice-calling tablet under its Slide tablet portfolio at Rs. 12,999 (MRP). Dubbed Slide 3G 1026-Q18, the tablet is listed on the company site with price, and is also available to buy at a discounted price of Rs. 11,015 from an e-commerce website.

The dual-SIM iBall Slide 3G 1026-Q18 tablet, as per its listing on the company site, features a 10.1-inch display with a WSVGA (1024×600 pixel) resolution. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The Slide 3G 1026-Q18 is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor (unspecified) coupled with 1GB of DDR3 RAM, and features 8GB of inbuilt storage with microSD card (up to 32GB) support.

A 5-megapixel rear camera (with LED flash) and a 2-megapixel front camera are present on the iBall Slide 3G 1026-Q18. The tablet also includes 3G, GPS/ A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (as per the eBay listing), USB OTG, FM radio, and Bluetooth connectivity. Notably, the tablet supports 3G connectivity on both SIM cards. iBall points out that to use the voice-calling function of the tablet, a handsfree is required – indicating no build-in microphone. Also touted, was the call recording function of the Slide 3G 1026-Q18. It is backed by a 4600mAh battery and comes in White colour variant. There is no word on the tablet’s dimensions and weight.

Earlier this month, iBall launched a voice-calling tablet, the Slide 3G Q7271-IPS20, priced at Rs. 9,699. Some of the key features of the tablet are 7-inch (1024×600 pixels) IPS display; 1.3GHz quad-core processor (unspecified chipset); 1GB of RAM; 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash; 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera; 8GB of inbuilt storage (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card), and 3000mAh battery.

The iBall Slide 3G Q7271-IPS20 was the company’s first tablet running Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box.
