Jahnavi– How exactly does TurboHire help in building the recruitment process?

Jahnavi– What was the major idea behind the company when it was initially started?

Deepak– TurboHire is the brainchild of Deepak Agrawal, the co-founder, and CEO of the company.
While serving as the Director of Career Advancement Services (Placement) team at the Indian
School of Business, he gained extensive experience and insights into the recruitment process,
including the gaps that existed between recruiter requirements and candidate resumes. His
interactions with recruiters and candidates provided him with a deeper understanding of the pain
points in the recruitment process, leading to the idea of developing a product that could
contextualize the information on a resume quickly, thus accelerating the shortlisting process.
With this vision in mind, Deepak Agrawal was joined by several other industry experts, each
bringing their functional expertise to the table. On March 20, 2019, TurboHire was officially
incorporated, and its headquarters were set up in Hyderabad.
Since its inception, the company has continued to develop innovative solutions to revolutionize
the recruitment process, providing recruiters with an efficient, AI-powered platform to make
faster, data-driven hiring decisions.


Jahnavi– Considering Turbohire focuses a lot on teamwork in general, how do you manage to
create a healthy environment amongst all the employees?

Deepak– TurboHire’s healthy environment is created through its unique leadership model, where its
10-member leadership team works together as a family of ‘TurboHumans’. Unlike the typical
founder-led start-up model, its leadership team, which includes former entrepreneurs and senior
executives from major MNCs, considers itself an equally led team. This collaborative approach
to leadership promotes teamwork, trust, and inclusivity, which creates a healthy environment for

all employees. We also tend to following some of the below listed strategies to get our team
involved in it entirety –

manage to form this growth plan for Turbohire in general?

Deepak– In 2023, the technology and business industries will focus on three major areas:
automation, engagement, and intelligence.
Automation will play a critical role in recruiting, as we develop an auto recruiter to assist with
day-to-day tasks such as sourcing, interviewing, and reviewing resumes. By automating these
processes, recruiters can focus on building relationships with candidates and identifying the
best fit for the organization. Additionally, we will create an auto job description assistant that will
help recruiters quickly generate job descriptions based on required skills and work experience.
Engagement will be a top priority as we seek to leverage the power of mobile devices. We will
develop a process that enables candidates to provide all necessary information through
messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, thus streamlining the hiring process and enhancing
candidate experience. By focusing on engagement, we can build stronger relationships with
candidates and create a more positive image for the organization.
Intelligence will also be a critical area of focus as we strive to develop an automated interview
process that leverages the availability of both recruiters and candidates. Additionally, we will
incorporate predictive analytics to help identify which candidates are most likely to accept a job
offer, allowing recruiters to focus their efforts on the most promising candidates. By leveraging
intelligence, we can streamline the recruitment process and make it more efficient and effective.

As we pursue global expansion, our objective is to maintain a steady 20% month-over-month
growth rate. We will prioritize enterprise-level clients with 1000+ employees, offering them the

Jahnavi– How do you tend to form strategies for the company?

Deepak– We are thrilled to share that our team has achieved remarkable progress in the last year,
growing to a team of 65 members and expanding our operations across eight countries. With
immense gratitude, we announce that we have recently secured $2 million in funding, which will
fuel our efforts to further scale our international presence in key regions such as APAC,
Australia, the Middle East, and North America. Our goal is to increase revenue from global
clients to at least 25% of our overall revenue by 2023.
As we strive to continuously improve our services, we have identified automation as a top
priority. We aim to increase our automation capabilities from 85% to 95%, streamlining our
hiring process by incorporating an auto-recruiter with a ‘TurboMode’ feature for recruiters. With
these upgrades, we anticipate significant efficiency gains, enabling us to deliver even better
results for our clients.
Looking forward, we remain committed to our impressive 20% month-over-month growth rate
and expanding our client base to include more large enterprises with 1000+ employees. Our

These tools will leverage data-driven analytics and predictive analysis to uncover
opportunities for informed decision-making, benefitting both HR managers and business
leaders alike. New HR technology will continue to evolve, making HR processes more
efficient and effective.
● Focus on Total Quality Management (TQM) – In 2023, total quality management will
evolve to include employee satisfaction as a critical component of long-term success.
