Meta is developing an edit button for Threads, its competitor to X (formerly Twitter).
This feature would enable users to edit their posts within five minutes of publishing them. Instagram’s CEO previously mentioned the possibility of an edit button for Threads.
Screenshots of the feature show that it would also display the post’s edit history, similar to Instagram’s edited caption history.
While the feature is not currently available, it may be introduced in the future. X already has an edit feature, but it is part of the paid Premium subscription.
It remains unclear when Threads’ edit feature will be available and if it will be free for all users or restricted to paid users.
Meta has been rolling out several new features and updates for Threads, including profile switching, post search, language support, web availability, and more.
