Padmakumar- Ennoventure Inc. is a cutting-edge technology company that provides covert brand authentication and engagement solutions across various industries, such as FMCG, Food and Beverage, Agrochemicals etc. We understand the challenges caused by product counterfeiting, and we offer a non-disruptive solution that allows for product authenticity verification without any changes to the current packaging design and printing procedure. Our anti-counterfeit technology utilizes AI and cryptography, allowing for a connected packaging experience through
smartphones, and adding an undetectable cryptographic signature to the package.
As internet penetration continues to grow in India, along with the proliferation of smartphones, people can access vast amounts of information. Although there are security measures available, such as sticker-based solutions, they lack reliability and transparency. Until now, anti-counterfeit technology has mainly been the responsibility of manufacturers and their distributors. However, with Ennoventure’s proprietary covert technology, anyone can check for authenticity using a smartphone, including the manufacturer, the end consumer, and every single person in the supply chain. Padmakumar- As a SaaS product, Enncrypto is easily accessible and can be used from any location. It is a more reliable authentication solution compared to overt track-and-trace methods, which may reveal tracking numbers to counterfeiters. The cryptographic code is secured, making it incredibly difficult to copy. Moreover, Enncrypto is cost-effective and can be applied to a product package in just 48 hours, without running the risk of counterfeiting. All stakeholders in the supply chain, from the manufacturer to the distributor to the customer, can use a smartphone to
scan the product and verify that they are handling an authentic item.

Padmakumar- Our current focus is on leveraging the funding we have received to support our growth plans and drive our global go-to-market strategy. As part of our expansion plans, we are targeting businesses across diverse industry segments, with a particular emphasis on furthering our presence in the European and US markets. Looking ahead, we are committed to taking our technology to the next level by expanding our encryption capabilities beyond product packaging to cover item-level fingerprinting. This move will enable us to offer an even more robust and comprehensive anti-counterfeiting solution that will help safeguard the authenticity of different types of products.
In addition to expanding our technology offerings, we are also committed to making a positive global impact by focusing on sustainability and recyclability. Our solutions are designed to help reduce carbon footprints by educating consumers on product recycling and reuse actions and by replacing paper instruction booklets with e-leaflets.
As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are exploring new product verticals and global geographies, with an eye towards creating value for our customers and contributing to positive social and economic change worldwide.
Jahnavi- What marketing strategies are followed by Ennoventure? How do you think and recognise which strategies are the best for your organization?
Padmakumar- We extensively use digital media, primarily LinkedIn for awareness and outreach efforts including running ad campaigns. We also do PR activities and events from time to time. Apart from that, we also do extensive retargeting, run website and email campaigns. Based on the demographics and location of our target audience, social media, primarily LinkedIn offers us a wide array of opportunities to connect with brand leaders including CXOs,
senior executives etc. Moreover, the fact that our invisible cryptographic signature can be directly applied on the product package makes packaging itself a zero-cost marketing channel!
Jahnavi- Considering growth is such a vital area, how do you manage to grow and change with time as technology is expanding rapidly and growth and change are the only way to stay consistent?
Padmakumar- Innovation is at the heart of our initiatives. We are working towards creating a world where every physical object will have its unique trusted identity which can be used to interact with them or for them to interact with each other. We are constantly tracking new developments in technology and have a dedicated team working on integrating promising technologies into our platform. We have a rigorous process for qualifying the maturity to make sure these innovations are fully tested before we commercialize them. We have a council of experts in various areas who guide us and help us focus on the most promising technologies.
Jahnavi- What is the major idea behind Ennoventure? How do you continue to adapt to it on a daily basis?
Padmakumar- Ennoventure Inc. was founded in 2018 by Padmakumar Nair and Shalini Nair with a mission to provide innovative digital solutions to everyday problems. The spark for this idea came from Padmakumar’s classmate at MIT, who shared the devastating statistic that one child dies from malaria (which is a curable disease) in Africa every five minutes due to fake antimalarial drugs. This led to the development of invisible cryptographic signatures. To develop this solution, the founders engaged with major brands and consulted with senior personnel involved in printing, packaging, security, and counterfeiting divisions. They recognized the importance of creating a solution that did not require any process changes and addressed the common challenges associated with implementing new technologies. To validate their approach, they conducted a prototyping exercise with a leading pharmaceutical company.
Their efforts led to the development of Ennoventure’s unique solution that secures packaging designs with an undetectable cryptographic signature. This solution can be easily verified by everyone in the supply chain, from the manufacturer to the end consumer. Ennoventure’s technology not only combats counterfeiting but also helps build consumer confidence by providing transparency and reliability in the product authentication process.
