iPhone 16 Pro series to get larger displays and periscope cameras: Min Chi Kuo

Source: Macrumors

As anticipation builds for the upcoming iPhone 15 series set to launch later this year, rumors regarding the next-generation iPhone 16 have been making the rounds for quite some time. Noted Apple analyst Min-Chi Kuo recently shared an update on the subject, revealing intriguing details about the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Plus, which are expected to boast larger displays and periscope camera sensors.

According to Kuo’s information, the iPhone 16 Pro will feature a 6.3-inch screen diagonal, while the 16 Pro Max will see an increase to 6.9 inches. These measurements indicate a slight 0.2-inch expansion compared to the iPhone 14 Pro models. The larger physical dimensions of these devices will provide Apple’s engineers with the space needed to incorporate a periscope lens into both the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max. These upgraded zoom cameras, reportedly supplied by Cowell E Holdings, are expected to deliver an impressive 5-6x optical zoom capability.

Interestingly, there have been previous reports suggesting that the iPhone 15 Pro Max might also offer a periscope lens, while the smaller iPhone 15 Pro might not. In addition to the enhanced camera features, it is speculated that the iPhone 16 Pro series could introduce an under-display Face ID solution, further contributing to a more immersive and bezel-less display experience.

While these are still rumors at this stage, they certainly add to the excitement surrounding Apple’s future iPhone releases. If the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Plus do indeed sport larger screens and advanced periscope camera technology, it would mark yet another significant leap forward for Apple’s flagship smartphones.
