Itel has launched the S23 smartphone in India, claiming it to be the country’s first smartphone with 16GB RAM and memory fusion in the sub-Rs 10,000 category.
The device is priced at Rs 8,799 and is available for purchase through the Amazon website. It comes in Starry Black and Mystery White color options. The smartphone features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS water drop display with a color-changing back panel in the Mystic White variant.
The display offers a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. The S23 is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 12nm chipset clocked at 1.6 GHz, paired with 8GB RAM (expandable with 8GB virtual RAM expansion) and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The storage can be further expanded up to 1TB with a microSD card. It has a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front AI camera, running on the Android 12 operating system. The device is equipped with a 5000mAh battery, claimed to provide 15 hours of battery life.
Itel India CEO Arijeet Talapatra mentioned that the company aims to bring innovations, stylish looks, and new age technology to cater to the demands of consumers who consider mobiles an integral part of their lifestyle.
