Reliance Jio is set to launch a wireless internet service called Jio AirFiber on September 19, 2023. This service is designed for homes and offices, offering speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps, enabling smooth high-speed internet activities like streaming HD videos, online gaming, and lag-free video conferences. Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, announced this launch during the Annual General Meeting 2023, with the official availability scheduled for Ganesh Chaturthi day.
Jio AirFiber comes with features such as parental controls, Wi-Fi 6 support, and a built-in security firewall. It was initially introduced at the company’s 45th Annual General Meeting last year.
This new wireless internet service utilizes 5G technology to deliver high-speed connectivity and is expected to be priced around Rs 6,000, offering internet speeds of up to 1.5 Gbps. Jio highlights its user-friendly setup process, where users simply need to plug it in and turn it on to have a personal Wi-Fi hotspot at home connected to ultra-high-speed internet via True 5G. Additionally, Jio AirFiber offers features beyond high-speed internet, including parental control tools, Wi-Fi 6 support, integration with the Jio set-top box, and enhanced network control.
