Lenovo has launched A536, a new budget Android smartphone, at Rs 8,999. The phone will be available in white and black colour variants.
Lenovo A536 sports a 5-inch FWVGA (480x854p) twisted nematic display. Powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582m quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with 8GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 32GB.
The phone runs Android 4.4 kitKat, the latest version of the operating system. It comes preloaded with Lenovo’s proprietary ‘DOit’ apps that lets users share, secure and sync information.
Lenovo A536 has a 5MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP fixed focus front-facing camera.The dual-sim smartphone supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS connectivity options in addition to FM radio. It comes with a 2000mAh battery promising a standby time of 12.5 days and talk time of 12 hours on 3G networks. Lenovo A536 will compete with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi 1S, Asus ZenFone 4 and 5, and Motorola Moto E.
