After unveiling the device in May earlier this year, LG has announced the global roll-out of its latest tablet in the G Pad series. The LG G Pad 10.1 tablet will initially be available in the United States, followed by Europe, Asia and Latin America later in July with prices and availability to be announced separately in each market.
Offering the ‘right balance of performance, personality and price to fill the gap between entry level and premium tablets,’ the LG G Pad 10.1 tablet features a 25.654-cm (10.1-inch) IPS WVGA display with a 1280×800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. It sports a 5MP rear camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage further expandable via microSD card. The device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat out-of-the-box. Connectivity options include: Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with hotspot, Direct, and DLNA functionality. It decks in an 8000mAh battery.
Earlier, LG launched the first device in its new F Series of smartphones. The LG F70 is now up for grabs via an online retailer at a price tag of Rs 18,499. The device was earlier listed on LG’s official website at a price of Rs 19,500. The LG F70 4G smartphone features a 11.43-cm (4.5-inch) WVGA IPS display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor (unspecified chipset) coupled with 1GB of RAM. It sports a 5MP rear camera and a front facing VGA camera. The single-SIM, 4G LTE device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with 4GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD. Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and NFC. It decks in a 2,440mAh removable battery. The device also comes with LG’s proprietary UX features such a knock Code among others.
