Microsoft’s Nokia Lumia devices have started gaining acceptance in the western region and seeing this growth, the company launched Lumia 630 Windows Phone in Gujarat recently and the phones will be available from May 26.
According to Suresh Vedula, Head-B2B, Nokia India (a Subsidiary of Microsoft Mobiles Oy), Lumia portfolio is gaining acceptance in the Indian enterprise segment, as organizations are switching to the Lumia proposition from their traditional enterprise mobility providers. “In the last two years, more than 400 enterprise including GMR Group, Tech Mahindra, Deloitte, Qualcomm, Emerson, CGI Info Systems, Trilegal and Eureka Forbes, among others, had opted for the Windows Phone based Lumia portfolio,” he said.
Leading companies from the West region like Honeywell, HUL, GSK, OTIS, Mother’s Recipe, and National Dairy Development Board among others have also switched to Lumia as their business devices and in many instances, enterprises have changed their existing smartphone platform.
