The Dimensity 7050 is the most recent addition to MediaTek’s rebranding process with its recent chipset releases. The Dimensity 1080, which debuted back in November, and the recently disclosed SoC are identical.
The TSMC N6 chip manufacturing method is used to construct the Dimensity 7050, which has two Arm Cortex-A78 performance cores running at 2.6GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 power-efficiency cores operating at 2.0GHz. The Arm Mali-G68 MC4 protects the GPU side.
The newest chipset supports 4K video recording at 30FPS and camera sensors with up to 200MP. It supports up to LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage and can handle panels with a resolution of up to 2520 x 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Along with dual SIM 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are also included.
In India, the Lava Agni 2 5G smartphone will shortly make its debut with Dimensity 7050.
