While we still wait for the official unveiling of Micromax’s next Canvas Doodle smartphone, dubbed Canvas Doodle 3, some new reports spill the beans about the pricing and specifications of the device ahead of the official launch, along with some images.
Gadgets To Use reports that the Canvas Doodle 3 will come with A102 model number and will be priced at Rs. 10,000. Further, the report, citing information from the retail box of the smartphone, claims the Canvas Doodle 3 will sport a 6-inch display – which we believe will be the highlight of the device at this price.
Considering that the Canvas Doodle came with a 5.3-inch display and the Canvas Doodle 2 had a 5.7-inch HD display, we can expect that the Canvas Doodle 3 would continue the trend and sport a larger display.
The Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 is said to run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box. The report has also listed some of the device’s specifications, which purportedly include a dual-core processor (unspecified chipset) clocked at 1.3GHz; FWVGA (480×854) screen resolution; dual-SIM support with dual standby; 5-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera.
Other alleged specifications of the Canvas Doodle 3 include expandable storage up to 32GB (with no word on inbuilt storage); 2500mAh battery and HD video recording capability.
In addition, Tech Droid has posted a bunch of purported press renders of the Canvas Doodle 3 that show the phablet’s front and rear panels. The site has also posted some promotional press renders of the Canvas Doodle 3.
We are yet to hear official details about the release of the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3. On Monday, Micromax posted a series of teasers on its official Twitter handle and Facebook page that promised that the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 would offer ‘an even bigger canvas,’ fitting right in with the reports of a 6-inch display.
Micromax also teased its Canvas Doodle 3 in a video that showed the yet-to-be-launched Canvas Doodle 3’s branding, with the company’s tagline making an appearance at the end.
