Even as it looks to enfold all that is left of its Android operations and shift select X-series product designs to Lumia, a new report suggests that the Nokia X successor, X2 will be launching anyway in India. The basis of this report is an import manifest data available at Zauba.com that reveals that Microsoft has already imported over 25,000 units of the X2 in the country. So, even if the future of Nokia X-series Android smartphones remains bleak,
the company will go ahead and launch the X2 in India soon.
The Nokia X2 has a larger display of 10.9-cm (4.3) with the same display declaration as that of Nokia X, which is 800 x 480. The new display has ClearBlack panel along with IPS panel, which should give it a feel of AMOLED. The display is coupled with scratch resistant glass. The phone comes with dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon series 200 processor along with 1GB of RAM. The rear camera is 5MP auto focus with LED flash, the front facing camera has VGA sensor. It comes with 4GB of internal storage and expandable memory up to 32GB. The device is fuelled by 1800 mAh battery, which is an upgrade as compared to 1500 mAh battery in X. The phone still doesn’t have android market store or play services. Instead, there is Nokia store as well as third party stores. Which is the only downside of the phone. The device comes bundled with Mix radio and HERE Maps.
