After its success with the Moto G, Motorola seems all set to introduce a rugged variant of the smartphone that is believed to be dubbed Moto G Forte in Latin America.
Popular phone tipster @evleaks’ Spain Twitter handle has posted a teaser image of the alleged Moto G Forte, and has also claimed that the yet-to-be-announced smartphone is heading to markets in Latin America. @evleaks said, “Motorola Moto G Forte will arrive in Latin America with improved durability” (English translation) on Twitter. The tweet, however, does not anything about the availability, price and specifications of the alleged Moto G Forte. As of now, there is no word whether the alleged Moto G Forte will head to other markets apart from Latin America.
The purported teaser image of the rumoured Moto G Forte tips that the smartphone will sport a thicker profile than its original variant. Further, the physical buttons of the alleged Moto G Forte appear to have received overhaul as well. We expect that the rumoured Moto G Forte will come with dust and water resistance, as tipped by the tipster who said ‘improved durability’.
Notably, the Motorola Moto G features water-resistant nano-coating on the inside and outside. The former Google-owned company launched the Moto G for Indian markets in February.
Earlier, Motorola officially announced the launch of its Moto X smartphone as exclusively available via the e-commerce website Flipkart.
In March, Motorola jumped onto the wearable bandwagon with the launch of its first smartwatch, the Moto 360. The Moto 360 smartwatch runs Google’s Android Wear, a software project that extends Android to wearables.
