Motorola is all set to unveil the moto g64 5G, the successor to last year’s g54 5G, in India on April 16th, following a series of teasers.
The g64 5G will maintain several key features from its predecessor, including a 6.5-inch FHD+ 120Hz LCD display, a 50MP primary rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a robust 6000mAh battery with support for 33W turbocharging. Additionally, it will boast stereo speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos technology.
A notable upgrade comes in the form of the chipset, with the g64 5G being powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 SoC. This chip represents an overclocked version of the Dimensity 7020 found in the g54 5G, and it promises improved performance and efficiency. Furthermore, the device will offer support for 14 different 5G bands, ensuring reliable connectivity.
In terms of memory and storage configurations, consumers can expect options ranging from 8GB to 12GB of RAM, along with storage variants of 128GB and 256GB. The phone will run on Android 14 out of the box, with a guaranteed upgrade to Android 15, and users can anticipate receiving security updates for up to three years. Corning Gorilla Glass protection and IP52 ratings for dust and splash resistance will provide added durability.
The design of the moto g64 5G will feature a familiar PMMA back, contributing to a weight of 192g and a thickness of 8.89mm, similar to its predecessor, the g54.
Following its launch, the moto g64 5G will be available for purchase through Flipkart, motorola.in, and offline retail channels. As for pricing, the g54 5G was priced at Rs. 15,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and Rs. 18,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. It is expected that the g64 will fall within a similar price range.
