After much anticipation, the highly rumored next-generation Motorola Razr phones finally have a confirmed release date. Set for June 1, these flip phone foldables are expected to make a grand entrance. The teaser video accompanying the announcement showcases two device silhouettes, hinting at the flagship Razr 40 Ultra and a more affordable option, the Razr 40.
According to reliable sources, the Razr 40 Ultra is speculated to feature an impressive 6.9-inch FHD+ folding OLED display with a high refresh rate of either 120Hz or 144Hz. Additionally, it is expected to sport a 3.5-inch OLED cover screen. Powering this device will be the formidable Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, accompanied by 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The camera setup is said to consist of a 12MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide shooter, while a 3,640mAh battery with 33W charging capabilities will keep things running smoothly. In terms of pricing, the Razr 40 Ultra is anticipated to start at €1,299 in Europe.
On the other hand, details regarding the Razr 40 are relatively scarce at the moment. However, it is expected that Motorola will make some cost-cutting decisions across various aspects of the phone, including potentially reducing the size of the cover screen, in order to achieve a more affordable price point. The rumored launch price for the Razr 40 is €899.
