Nothing Phone (2) to be made in India , company confirms

The upcoming Nothing Phone (2) will be manufactured in India to cater to the demands of the Indian market. The company has confirmed this to the media and has already revealed some key specifications of the device ahead of its launch, although the exact launch date is still unknown. However, the company has announced that the Nothing Phone (2) will be released in India and other markets in July, providing an overview of what to expect from the upcoming device.

The successor to the Nothing Phone (1) will be manufactured in India, unlike its predecessor. However, this manufacturing shift is not expected to impact the pricing of the device or make it cheaper, as the assembly of the phone will still take place outside of India. The upcoming Nothing Phone (2) is anticipated to be priced below Rs 40,000 in India upon its launch in July.

Manu Sharma, VP and GM of Nothing India, expressed that Nothing smartphones are renowned for their distinctive transparent design, which requires advanced manufacturing processes and precise engineering. The decision to manufacture the Phone (2) in India reflects the company’s dedication to meeting the demands of local consumers. Sharma also highlighted the brand’s commitment to an environmentally conscious approach, stating that the Phone (2) is designed to be one of the most sustainable smartphones available in the market.

The upcoming Nothing phone will feature several notable specifications, as confirmed by the company. It will be equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, indicating a high-performance device. The CEO has suggested that the use of this premium chipset will result in a higher price compared to the previous generation product.

According to the CEO, the Phone (2) will provide a more premium experience in all aspects, positioning it to compete with the best flagship smartphones currently available in the market. While this suggests a higher price range, the company aims to offer a premium 5G phone at an accessible price point.
