OnePlus has launched the OnePlus 11R with Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and 100W fast charging in India

The OnePlus Ace 2 was introduced for China, and OnePlus has announced the global release of the OnePlus 11. In reality, the broadcast in India mostly followed the international event, but it also continued using a different device, the 11R. The Ace 2 is known as the OnePlus 11R in this region.

The OnePlus 11R is the successor of the 10R from the previous year, which was built on the first Ace. The 10R never left India, just as the Ace never left China. As far as we are aware, neither will the new 11R model leave the subcontinent.

Which is unfortunate because it offers some amazing upgrades over its predecessor. The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is the main advancement. The Dimensity 8100-Max, as good as it is, is essentially a mid-range chip. The 8+ Gen 1 is still quick enough to compete with flagship models.

Although OnePlus raised the resolution from 1,080 x 2,412px to 1,240 x 2,772px, the display size remained basically unchanged at 6.74″. This falls in the middle of QHD+ and FHD+. The phone will provide clearer graphics in games when the additional processing capacity from the Adreno 730 GPU is combined with it. The 120Hz refresh rate remains the same, and the 10-bit panel (with HDR10+ capability) remains.

Two battery and charging systems, rated at 80W/5,000mAh and 150W/4,500mAh, were offered for the 10R model. The company has only one power system configuration with a 5,000mAh battery and 100W fast charging this year in an effort to be more balanced. Although it doesn’t charge as quickly as the older 150W model, it still manages to reach 100% in 25 minutes (as opposed to 32 minutes for the 80W/5,000mAh 10R). This matches the OnePlus 11’s flagship model’s speed (and battery life).

So far, we have been contrasting the 11R with the 10R, but there is also a comparison with the 10T. That phone boasts a 4,800mAh battery with 150W fast charging and an 8+ Gen 1 CPU, but it retains the outdated FHD+ display.

The camera system has a 50MP primary module with an f/1.8 lens with OIS and a 50MP 1/1.56″ sensor, which is largely the same as it was last year (an IMX890 this time around, replacing the IMX766). A 2MP macro camera is available, while the ultra wide is still 8MP (120°). Actually, the only noteworthy change is that the 11R can capture 4K at 60 frames per second (up from 30fps on the 10R).

The cost will be discussed last. The base 8/128GB model costs Rs.40,000, and for Rs.45,000 you can have a device with double the RAM and twice the storage, or 16/256GB.

In contrast, the 10T cost 50,000 for the identical 8/128GB configuration whereas the older 10R had a debut price of 39,000 for an 80W device. The flagship OnePlus 11 was unveiled today, and its starting pricing in India is 57,000.
