Oppo has introduced its latest smartphone, the A2 Pro, in the Chinese market. This mid-range device boasts some noteworthy features and specifications. It offers a leather back panel in one variant and a more affordable version with a hybrid material back. The device features a dedicated anti-fall structure, with thicker and stronger corners to improve its durability and survivability during falls. The front houses a 6.7-inch curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 920 nits peak brightness, and various other display enhancements.
Under the hood, the Oppo A2 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. It packs a sizable 5,000mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging. The camera setup includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel portrait sensor on the rear, while the front features an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
Additional features include virtual RAM expansion, IP54 water and dust resistance, an under-display fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.2, WiFi 6, and it runs on Android 13 with ColorOS 13.1 out of the box. The Oppo A2 Pro comes in multiple color options, including Vast Black, Desert Brown (Leather), and Twilight (Pink). Pricing starts at 1,799 Yuan (approximately $250) for the 8GB + 256GB variant, with higher RAM and storage configurations available at 1,999 Yuan (around $275) and 2,399 Yuan (about $330), respectively. Pre-orders are currently open, and the smartphone will be available for purchase in China starting September 22.
