Panasonic Life Solutions India has launched the LUMIX S9, the smallest and lightest full-frame mirrorless camera in the LUMIX S Series lineup for the Indian market. Boasting an approx. 24.2-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor, akin to the flagship LUMIX S5II, and the latest imaging engine, the LUMIX S9 captures rich details and natural tones. It features PDAF (Phase Detection Auto-Focus) for superior subject tracking and Active I.S. (Image Stabilization) to minimize handheld blur, empowering content creators to shoot confidently in any situation.
Available in four stylish colors – Jet Black, Crimson Red, Dark Olive, and Night Blue – the LUMIX S9 is designed to be a chic companion for content creators. The camera starts at INR 1,49,990 for the S9 body and INR 1,79,990 for the S9 kit, which includes the LUMIX S9 body and a 20-60mm lens. It will be available at LUMIX Lounges, various dealers across India, and Panasonic’s direct-to-consumer site.

Additionally, the new LUMIX Lab app for iOS and Android smartphones facilitates editing on the go, with improved data transfer speed from the camera to the smartphone. This enhances creativity, enabling users to develop unique LUT color files on their smartphones, creating original and shareable content without the need for post-production editing on a computer. The introduction of the new MP4 Lite recording format allows for shooting Open Gate in 4:2:0 10-bit in 30p/25p, optimizing high-quality video capture for smartphones and making it easy to resize for social media.

Enhanced real-time recognition AF with PDAF ensures precise subject tracking, while industry-leading image stabilization technology, including 5-axis Dual I.S.2 (6.5 stops) and Body I.S. (5 stops) with Active I.S., compensates for camera shake, even when shooting on the move. Perspective distortion correction and High mode in the E-Stabilization (Video) function further ensure stable footage during motion shooting.
