Rajasthan Development Dialogue 2.0: Vision for a $350 Billion Economy

PHDCCI-Rajasthan Chapter in association with Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, successfully organized the the “Rajasthan Development Dialogue-2.0″ on the theme, “Viksit Rajasthan: Marching Towards a 350 Billion Dollar Economy” on 29-November-2024 at JIM, Campus, Jaipur.

The Inaugural Session of the event graced by Shri Vasudev Devnani, Hon’ble Speaker, Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, as the Chief Guest, emphasized the transformative potential of Rajasthan’s rich legacy, technological advancements, and entrepreneurial spirit in sectors like food processing and tourism. Shri Devnani highlighted how these developments are driving job creation and catalyzing Rajasthan’s economic empowerment.

Chief Economist and Deputy Secretary General of PHDCCI Dr. S.P. Sharma, delivered a compelling Keynote address, contextualizing Rajasthan’s economic potential within the global economy of $104 trillion, with India’s contribution at $3.9 trillion. He predicted Rajasthan’s evolution into a surplus economy by 2030, underscoring its growing significance in India’s economic future.

Dr. Prabhat Pankaj, Director, Jaipuria Institute of Management, welcomed participants and shared insights on its collaboration with PHDCCI, its commitment to research, social impact, and fostering global exposure for its students.

Shri R.K. Gupta, Resident Director, PHDCCI – Rajasthan Chapter, lauded the contributions of Rajasthan’s entrepreneurs to national growth and assured PHDCCI’s continued support.

A highlight of the event was the release of the White Paper Report 2024, prepared by first-year students as part of the Industry Immersion Program in partnership with PHDCCI.
In the beginning, Dr Varun Chotia, Convenor, Jaipuria Institute of Management introduced the seminar theme to the audience.

The seminar featured nine high-impact panel discussions on critical themes, showcasing diverse perspectives and expertise.

The session on Advancing Agriculture and Food Processing included insights from Dr. Ramesh Mittal, Former Director, National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM), Shri Mukesh Gupta, Chief Editor & Mentor, Hello Kisan Forum and Shri Aishwarya Kumar Goyal, Founder, Fidelo Farms Private Limited.
Discussions on Transforming Technology and AI were led by industry visionaries like Shri Raj Kumar Verma, Director, Software Technology Park of India, Shri Saksham Gupta, CEO, Edubild, and Dr. Tarun Taunk, Director, Informatic Computech Pvt. Ltd.

A session on Amplifying Student Voices highlighted the vibrant contributions of Jaipuria Institute of Management’s students.

The theme of Building a Greener Tomorrow through Sustainable Practices featured esteemed speakers such as Dr. Sapna Narula, Director, NIAM.

Pioneering Wellness and Healthcare saw thought-provoking insights from experts Dr. Vinod Kumar Garg, ’Shri Abhudaya Sharma, Director, Sri Navjeewan Rasayanshala.

The session on Empowering Young Leaders brought together innovators Shri Raghav Kabra, COO, Raghav Productivity Enhancers Ltd, Shri Aayushmaan Falod, Director, Blackstone Foodcraft and Shri Paresh Gupta, Founder & CEO, GCEC Global Foundation.

Prominent voices such as Shri V.S. Shekhawat, Secretary, ADTOI, Shri Jitendra Singh Rathore, CMD, Royal Desert Safaries Pvt and Shri Balendu Singh, Owner, Hotel Dev Vilas, shared Transformative Tourism Strategies.
Discussions on Unlocking Investment and Business Opportunities included notable speakers Shri Rajendra Bhanawat, IAS (R), Former MD, RIICO and Shri Nagesh Sharma, GM (R), Bureau of Investment Promotion.

The session on Fintech Innovation was led by experts Shri Sanjay Singh Rajawat, CEO, Wonder Home Finance Ltd, Shri Abhijeet Saxena, CEO, MyRupaya providing valuable insights into the industry’s future.

The seminar culminated in a Valedictory session graced by Shri Vimal Katiyar, Partner, Veekay Plast & Executive Member, Laghu Udyog Bharti Jaipur, Rajasthan with Dr. Shubham Singhania, Co-Convenor, delivering a formal vote of thanks.

The day-long event witnessed robust participation from academia and industry, fostering actionable insights for Rajasthan’s journey toward becoming a $350 billion economy.
