Rajdipkumar Gupta, A dynamic entrepreneur who is also the founder of Route Mobile Ltd and Nishant Patel, the Co-founder of Contentstack, have come together to establish the Virar-Hub Incubator to help local and budding entrepreneurs in Virar and nearby areas. This incubator aims to provide the necessary ecosystem, mentorship, resources and strategic collaborations for early stage start-ups to evolve into capable enterprises.
Rajdip is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the country, having built a global and profitable enterprise operating in over 20 countries and over a billion-dollar market cap. His is one of the rare feats in India, growing a bootstrapped business to a very successful IPO. Along with Route Mobile, Rajdip also drives successful businesses in Hospitality and Renewable Energy.
Nishant is a tech entrepreneur who has founded and scaled various companies. One of his start-ups was acquired by Software AG. He also runs a R&D center that focuses on new category forming products in enterprise SaaS
With this incubator, Rajdip & Nishant want to share their learnings and mentor entrepreneurs to build successful and profitable businesses. They will also participate as an investor in start-ups that become a part of the Virar-Hub Incubator.
Speaking about this development, Rajdip said, “My mantra for success starts with 3S – Scale Sensibly to Sustain. Building successful businesses takes a lot of focus and commitment. With this incubator, we aim to provide the right kind of environment and tools that will create a strong foundation for these start-ups”.
Nishant also expressed his excitement, “I started my entrepreneurial journey in Virar and now we want to sow the seeds for the next gen of start-ups here”
The incubator is also supported by Mr Kshitij Thakur, Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from the Nalasopara constituency. His involvement adds a lot of value to this initiative.
This development is key for the Vasai Virar area that has a lot of untapped potential. It’s first initiative was the Start-up Quest competition that saw participation from over 200 teams from Greater Mumbai. Top 10 teams will enter the final round and Top 3 will be given a chance to get incubated within the Virar-Hub.
India’s start-up ecosystem boasts of over 68000 start-ups currently and it is expected to grow to over 180,000 by 2023. This meteoric rise in the number of start-ups will not be limited to only Tier-1 cities. There is a lot of potential in Tier-2 towns that will be the key to unlocking India’s growth. The acceptance of products and services originating from India is seeing a lot of global acceptance. This is a great sign.
