Prateek: The new WFH model of working has increased the threats of cyberattacks. Does Barco ClickShare Conference help in minimizing cyber threats?
Rajiv Bhalla: Security is integral to a healthy workplace ecosystem and Barco is one of the frontrunners in the secure collaborative services segment. ClickShare Conference, our flagship remote working solution, offers customers seamless applications and enterprise-grade security. The innovative ClickShare Conference ensures secure and wireless collaboration in meeting spaces, bridging the gap between remote work and work from the office. Prateek: What will be the dominating trends in the hybrid work model? Should organizations prepare themselves and their employees for the new hybrid work mode?
Rajiv Bhalla: The unprecedented amount of change in business operations, post the pandemic, has led to an acceleration towards digital transformation. Covid has necessitated software technology adoption to enable a new hybrid workforce. At Barco, we were quick to understand that the future of work was changing, even before the pandemic, and businesses are now adopting a digital strategy centering around flexibility to cater to the new age and agile workforce. This is the foremost trend visible in the hybrid work model and our products and solutions are aimed at making this transition possible. Another trend we are seeing is that of futuristic businesses that are focused on sustainable solutions and reduced carbon footprints. Indeed, the future of work is going to be hybrid and technology will enable greater flexibility, aided by increased adoption of new-age technology and tools. Organizations are now pivoting towards developing more agility, resilience, and risk tolerance so that they are better prepared, with stronger business continuity plans, in case of future black swan events of this magnitude.
As the hybrid workstyle is here to stay, organizations must prepare themselves and their employees to adapt. With technology becoming more pervasive, offices will have to be retooled and redesigned to cater to a more collaborative and flexible work environment.
A hybrid workplace environment will see an increase in the adoption and growth of virtual collaboration tools, video conferencing tools, and communication tools. We recently announced the setting up of our biggest global R&D and software research center in Noida spread across an area of 51,500 square feet.
The Barco GEAX facility will enable us to successfully build capabilities leveraging hardware, software, and services. It is a collaborative workplace for the new hybrid environment and has been designed basis the needs of a hybrid workspace and a young team our new workspace features collaboration areas for brainstorming and innovative thinking processes.
Prateek: How is Barco improving collaboration technology with its wireless conferencing solutions?
Rajiv Bhalla: ClickShare is Barco’s wireless presentation and conferencing hub for the hybrid workplace. Through our various ClickShare products and solutions, we offer frictionless entry for all users, no matter where they are working from. With our solution in place, one click is all it takes for everything – from simple screen sharing to running the meeting from a remote laptop. Prateek: Are there any new innovative products lined for launch for the hybrid workplaces?
Rajiv Bhalla: Barco is always working to bring newer and more advanced technology to our users and hybrid workspaces are one of our core segments. While we have been creating upgraded ClickShare Conference models, Barco also launched the new ClickShare Present in the global markets, in May. We are seeing a strong pick-up for the solution and are working on tweaking it to meet Indian market requirements. We look forward to launching the solution in India soon.
Prateek: What will be the strategy for the growth of Barco in the diverse Indian markets? How can Barco help in the digitalization process?
Rajiv Bhalla: Barco is working towards making India the global innovation and R&D Hub. We are keen on increasing our market share across the three major domains we cater to, namely entertainment, enterprise, and healthcare. Even as some of our business verticals, such as entertainment, saw a downturn because of the pandemic, we are working consistently towards building a solid software talent at our Indian R&D team. This team will be our growth engine for global innovation.
