realme, India’s second largest smartphone brand in 2Q22, in its efforts to giving back to the society is raising funds to support Purnata in its fight against Human Trafficking in India. As part of this open to all initiative, realme is inviting participation of its employees, community members, fans and people at large to come together and drive a societal impact by crowdsourcing funds on Ketto worth INR 1,50,000 for the NGO. People can contribute using https://www.ketto.org/amp/fundraiser/mukhtiraalo.
Various studies highlight that the number of children trafficked and put into child labour could increase due to pandemic-related implications. Purnata is working actively to safeguard the children in the red-light areas of Mumbai and Kolkata and facilitating good education, promoting health care to children and restoring their childhood.
Purnata will utilise the funds for its Mukhtir Aalo – Light of Freedom campaign in Sonagachi Kolkata, Asia’s largest red light area and will help the children of sex workers aged 15+ with life skills and vocational training with job placement opportunities to earn their livelihood.
As part of the initiative, people contributing to the cause will stand a chance to be a part of the lucky draw by realme and win a dress from realme powered ‘ONYX’ collection by celebrated designer Amit Aggarwal featured at India’s most sought-after premier fashion event, Lakme Fashion Week x FDCI. The dress’ worth is equivalent to the funds that the brand is raising for the campaign- INR 1,50,000.
realme empowered ONYX collection presents an elevated exploration of a fusion of empowering design and technology. The dress is inspired by brand new realme GT NEO 3T racing flag design and features sheared fabrics that interact with light and shadows, micro hemlines that morph into party-ready and rubber corded bodices that underline the human body.
Through its various initiatives and partnerships in India, realme is looking at supporting various causes in the country for the societal good and is looking at making quality experiences accessible to people. The brand had recently announced its support to SOS Children’s Village of India for the NGO’s Basket of Care Solutions programme that supports more than 45,000 children and has provided Techlife Air Purifiers, realme Pad Mini and realme Buds Wireless for better and immersive learning experience along with quality indoor air.
