Redmi 12 5G spotted on Geekbench

Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi recently released the Redmi 12 4G model with the Helio G88 SoC, and now, they are expected to launch a 5G version of the device. Although Xiaomi has not officially revealed details about the Redmi 12 5G, a device with model code 23076RN4BI, believed to be the Redmi 12 5G, has appeared on Geekbench with some key specifications.
The Xiaomi 23076RN4BI is expected to run on Android 13 and is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. It comes with 8GB of RAM, but other memory options might also be available, although yet to be confirmed.
Furthermore, the Xiaomi 23076RN4BI has been spotted in the BIS database, confirming its launch in India. Xiaomi has already announced the launch of the Redmi 12 in India on August 1, but it remains uncertain whether it will be the 4G model or the 5G version.
The teasers shared by the Chinese brand suggest the possibility of the 4G variant, as the design and features resemble the Redmi 12 4G with a 50MP primary camera. However, if it turns out to be the 5G model, it will be interesting to see if the chipset is the only difference between the two versions or if there are more variations.
Additionally, there is speculation that the Redmi 12 5G might be a version of the Redmi Note 12R, which is similar to the Redmi 12 4G but equipped with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC, a 5MP selfie shooter, and no ultrawide camera.
