During the Redmi 12 series launch event in India, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Watch 3 Active for the Indian market. This wearable was previously unveiled in a few global markets a few weeks ago.
The Redmi Watch 3 Active is designed to resemble a smartwatch but is primarily a fitness tracker, making it an affordable option with an attractive appearance. Its square design is reminiscent of the Apple Watch. The device features a 1.83-inch LCD display with a resolution of 240 x 280 pixels and supports over 200 watch faces, offering users a variety of customization options.
The middle frame of the wearable is made of metal, giving it a premium look and feel. It is water-resistant up to 5 ATM, making it suitable for use in the rain or near water bodies.
Health tracking features include an optical heart rate sensor and an SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen level monitoring. The device supports various health functions such as sleep monitoring and menstrual cycle tracking, along with 100+ fitness modes for different activities.
The Redmi Watch 3 Active also doubles as a communication device, allowing users to make and receive calls as it comes equipped with a speaker and a microphone. It connects to smartphones via Bluetooth 5.3 and is compatible with both Android and iOS.
Xiaomi claims the Redmi Watch 3 Active can last up to 12 days on light usage and up to 8 days on heavy usage with its battery.
In India, the Redmi Watch 3 Active is priced at ₹2,999 for a limited time and is available in Platinum Grey or Charcoal Black color options.
The first sale of the Redmi Watch 3 Active is scheduled for 12 PM on August 3rd, and it will be available on Mi and retail stores.
