R&M, a Swiss cabling systems developer and provider of high-quality fiber and copper solutions for network infrastructures around the world announced their vaccination drive in India. India has faced two waves of Covid pandemic since 2020 and the experts believe the third wave is close by. Keeping in mind the health concerns of R&M’s employees, the Indian division of R&M located in Bengaluru launched the vaccination drive this month.
R&M India has employees working in office and factory, and a vaccination drive was arranged for every employee in the office located at Jakkur, Bengaluru. Bangalore Baptist Hospital (BBH), a reputed hospital in Bengaluru, their medical and support staff was roped in to help with the vaccination drive. All the Covid SOPs were kept in mind, necessary permits from government and local bodies were taken and a vaccination drive was conducted successfully with no hindrance. The vaccination drive conducted in Bengaluru was in sync with R&M’s Global guidelines and mandate to make the workplace safe and secure during the on-going pandemic.
Speaking about the vaccination drive, R&M India’s Managing Director Gaurav Ahluwalia said, “Today we can proudly say that 100% of R&M India’s workforce has been vaccinated. Now our employees are closer to not just the vaccination process but also protected from Covid. Our responsibility does not end with just getting our employees vaccinated, we are also following up with checking temperatures, sanitization of work premises, social distancing and all the necessary Covid protocols.”
The vaccination drive that was conducted was primarily the first round of vaccination for most of the employees and for a few others, who were eligible, it was the second round of vaccination. R&M India’s leadership team were also present in the vaccination drive supporting 100+ employees who were vaccinated in one day. R&M India is dedicated to employee wellbeing and will continue to focus on the same especially with the third wave looming large.
