Russian military prohibits the use of iPhones and iPads for official tasks

Russia’s Ministry of Digital Development has announced a ban on the use of Apple iPhones and iPads for official work tasks, as reported by Interfax news agency.

The ban was revealed by the minister, Maksut Shadaev, during a digital conference. He stated that the prohibition applies to accessing work applications and email exchange on these Apple devices, while personal use is permitted.

The decision comes two months after the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) claimed that numerous Apple devices were compromised due to a US espionage operation.
This move follows ongoing disputes between Russia and various tech giants over content, censorship, data, and local representation.
