Looks like South Korean huge Samsung has finally given in to India’s proclivity for gold by introducing a gold variant of its Galaxy Grand 2 phablet. Up until now, the handset was only available in white, black and pink color variants. The gold variant is now listed on the company’s official e-store for India with a ‘notify me’ option, meaning it is currently out of stock.
It must be recalled that Samsung had launched the device previous in January at a price tag of Rs 22,999. Only the white color variant was available initially with the company adding the other two color variants only later. Also, the device is now available at a reduced price of Rs 20,900 via the company’s official e-store (white, black and pink variants). The device, a heir to the Galaxy Grand was first unveiled globally in November last year.
Talking about the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 features a 13.208-cm (5.2-inch) TFT display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2 Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It sports an 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and Auto Focus and a 1.9MP front Camera. It comes with 8GB of internal memory expandable up to 64GB via micro-SD card slot. It decks in a 2,600mAh battery.
