Amazon India has bagged the exclusive rights for selling the much awaited camera-variant of Samsung’s Galaxy S5 and a successor to the Galaxy S4 Zoom: the Galaxy K Zoom in the country. Amazon India has teased an image regarding the same, however there’s no word yet regarding the exact date of availability of the device.
The Galaxy K zoom features a 12.192-cm (4.8-inch) Super AMOLED HD display with a 720×1280 pixels resolution. It is powered by a beastly hexa-core processor (a quad-core 1.3GHz and a dual-core 1.7GHz) expected to come with the Exynos 5 Hexa SoC coupled with a Mali-T264 GPU coupled with 2GB of RAM. The camera centric smartphone will run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It will come with 8GB of inbuilt storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. It will deck in a 2430mAh battery. The highlight of the device is its 20.7MP BSI CMOS rear sensor that comes with a Xenon flash and features like optical image stabiliser, AF/AE Separation, Pro Suggest mode, Selfie Alarm among others. The device also features a 2MP front-facing camera.
The smartphone is available for grabs starting mid-May in Germany. The device is available at a price of EUR 519, which roughly translates to Rs 43,300 in the Indian market. Samsung had earlier unveiled the device at the company’s ‘Kapture the Moment’ event held at the Red Dot Design Museum in Singapore.
