Samsung has unveiled the Odyssey Neo G9 57, a remarkable gaming monitor packed with innovative features. With Gamescom 2023 commencing on September 23, companies are introducing refreshed monitors and gaming accessories, and Samsung is no exception. Among its announcements are the Odyssey Neo G9 57 and the 2023 Odyssey Ark 55. Notably, the Odyssey Neo G9 57 stands out as the world’s inaugural Dual UHD monitor. All these new monitors are slated for an October launch.
With a substantial price tag of $2,500, the Odyssey Neo G9 57 earns its “Dual UHD” distinction by effectively emulating two 32-inch UHD resolution monitors side by side. It boasts a 7,680×2160 resolution, 32:9 aspect ratio, and employs Samsung’s Mini LED technology for localized dimming zones and enhanced contrast. This monitor reaches a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and boasts a 240Hz refresh rate. As expected of a premium offering, it supports HDR and AMD FreeSync Premium.
Connectivity is robust, featuring DisplayPort 2.1, three HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB hub. These inputs enable features like picture-by-picture and picture-in-picture. Given its gaming focus, the Core Lighting+ on the back adds an illuminating touch to your setup.
On another note, Samsung has also revealed the upgraded 2023 Odyssey Ark 55. This model receives subtle enhancements, including Samsung MultiView that allows simultaneous viewing of four inputs. The split-screen functionality has been improved, and new Multi View and KVM switches offer a comprehensive solution for various device needs, spanning gaming, multimedia, work, and leisure. Pricing for the updated 2023 Odyssey Ark 55 hasn’t been disclosed, with a launch set for October.
