South Korean gigantic Samsung has silently launched the descendant of its popular budget Android smartphone, the Galaxy Core in the Indian marketplace. The Galaxy Core 2 smartphone is now up for grabs at a price tag of Rs 11,900 via Samsung’s official online India store.
The Galaxy Core 2 smartphone features an 11.43-cm (4.5-inch) WVGA TFT present with a 480×800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core (unknown clock speed) Cortex A7 processor together with 768MB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of integral storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. It sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The dual-SIM device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box with the company’s TouchWiz spirit UI on top. Connectivity options contain: Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB and 3G. It decks in a 2000mAh battery.
for the moment, a successor to the Galaxy Pocket is also supposedly in the offing soon. The Galaxy Pocket 2 will feature an 8.128-cm (3.2-inch) QVGA display with a 320×480 pixels resolution. It will be powered by a 1GHz processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It will reportedly sport a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. The dual-SIM device will run Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It will thump in a 1200mAh battery.
