Samsung has officially announced the launch date for the Galaxy S23 series following a number of leaks and rumours. The information was made public on the company’s website, and it is almost certain that the South Korean corporation will introduce the Galaxy S23 during its Galaxy Unpacked 2023 – Part 1 event.
The following Galaxy Unpacked event will take place on February 1, 2023, according to Samsung’s website for the Colombian market. The event’s slogan is “Epic moments are coming.” The promotional image also shows the Galaxy S23 series’ three back cameras, each of which has a distinct ring surrounding it, just like the leaked mockups.
The Galaxy S23 series may be on sale by the second week of February 2023, according to prior reports. In comparison to the Galaxy S22 series, Samsung’s upcoming phones may not have higher prices. Nothing can be verified, though, until the South Korean company makes it official. As per customary, Samsung would live-stream its Galaxy Unpacked event on its website, newsroom, and YouTube channel.
The speedier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 engine, 8GB/12GB LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage are anticipated for the Galaxy S23 series. The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra handsets in the range will all come pre-installed with Android 13.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra might have a 200MP main camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 10MP telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom. The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ may have a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera with autofocus, and a 10x telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. All phones are thought to come with a 12MP selfie camera with OIS and autofocus as standard equipment.
The Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are rumoured to be powered by 3,900mAh and 4,700mAh batteries, respectively. The Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 5,000mAh battery is capable of 45W quick charging. All smartphones feature reverse wireless charging and fast wireless charging. Dual speakers, IP68 certification for water and dust resistance, GPS, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a USB Type-C port, and 5G are among the phone’s additional features.
