Samsung has officially introduced One UI 6, featuring a revamped Quick Panel and a new font

Samsung commenced its Samsung Developer Conference 2023 (SDC23) with several noteworthy announcements. The highlight is One UI 6, the next iteration of Samsung’s comprehensive software.

While the beta version of the software has been available for some time, Samsung has now provided insights into what users can anticipate in the final release. One UI 6 will prioritize improved usability and intelligent photo and video editing.

This update introduces a redesigned Quick Panel, as well as refreshed app interfaces, along with a new font called One UI Sans.

The Gallery app will employ AI features like Photo Remaster and Object Eraser to analyze photos and suggest enhancements. Samsung is also introducing a multi-layer video editor named Samsung Studio, offering users the ability to add text, stickers, and music to video timelines.

Furthermore, Samsung emphasized its renewed focus on Tizen, emphasizing the revitalization of the Linux-based open-source operating system. Tizen will now power larger display home appliances such as ovens and washing machines. Samsung has unveiled a Tizen SDK featuring a combined 2D and 3D graphics engine.

Samsung Health is set to expand into a digital health ecosystem, with the company opening up access to the BioActive sensor on Galaxy smartwatches for third-party developers through the Samsung Privileged Health SDK.
