South Korean manufacturer, Samsung has launched the Galaxy Note Pro Tablet in India, marked as the costliest tablet by beating the likes of all Android smart devices, in the race. The Android-powered Note Pro tablet comes at a massive price of Rs 65,575. However, the 128 GB variant of the Apple iPad Air is the costliest tablet in the market, which comes at a price tag of Rs 65,900.
The Galaxy Note Pro is the first professional-grade tablet by Samsung, was unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014, in January this year. But, to the modesty of the company, it is offering a ‘free’ cover worth Rs 3,799 with the Android device.
The new Note Pro has a 30.9-cm (12.2-inch) Super LCD screen with 2560 x 1600p resolution. It comes with a S Pen stylus, as well. Reportedly, Samsung has used its new Magazine UX software with the Android 4.4 OS in the tablet. The new custom skin makes better use of the large screen and shows live information from apps in a tile like layout, which is similar to Windows 8.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro is powered by a 1.9 GHz octa-core processor with 3 GB RAM support. It further comes with a 32 GB internal storage and can be extended up to 64 GB via microSD card. The tablets has connectivity options like 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 3.0 and infra-red.
The costliest Android tablet is packed with an 8 MP camera plus LED flash, and a 2 MP camera is endorses the front. The device is powered by a 9500 mAh battery and is available in colour variants of black and white colours with faux leather finish.
Meanwhile, Apple is also said to be working on a professional-grade tablet, which is tentatively called as the iPad Pro. This tab is expected to replace the Macbook Pro, however, it is not expected to be launched until October.
