Samsung may bring back rotating bezels with Galaxy Watch 6

Samsung is gearing up to hold its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event in July, which will take place in South Korea. During this event, the tech giant is anticipated to unveil its latest foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. Additionally, Samsung is expected to introduce the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic smartwatches. Prior to the official launch next month, a series of leaked images showcasing the wearables have emerged.

The leaked photos reveal that Samsung has decided to reintroduce the rotating bezels, a popular feature that was absent in last year’s Galaxy Watch 5. According to reports from WinFuture, alleged marketing images of the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic suggest that the Classic variant will feature the returning rotating bezel.

As for the Galaxy Watch 6, it is speculated to be available in two different sizes: 40mm and 44mm. The new smartwatch lineup is also rumored to boast durable sapphire crystal displays. Although previous rumors suggested curved displays, the leaked photos contradict these claims.

On the other hand, the Classic version of the smartwatch is expected to be slightly larger than the regular variant and may come in two size options: 43mm and 47mm. The 47mm Classic variant is anticipated to be Samsung’s largest smartwatch since the 46mm Samsung Gear S3, whereas the largest model of last year’s Watch 5 Pro was 45mm. Moreover, the upcoming watches are anticipated to feature larger batteries.

In recent weeks, Samsung announced the One UI 5 Watch, which is set to debut alongside the new smartwatch lineup. This updated operating system is expected to introduce various health and fitness features, including improved sleep tracking and personalized heart rate zones. Additionally, it is likely that Google’s Wear OS 4 for smartwatches will be included in the Galaxy Watch 6 series.
