Samsung Will Hold An Event To Announce The Note 4 On 3 September

XhuB101645AM822014 (1)Buzz has it that South Korean huge Samsung is looking to launch its next-generation successor of the Galaxy Note 3 phablet: the Galaxy Note 4 on 3 September. A Korea Times report suggests the supposed device could be launched at a pre-IFA 2014 event in Berlin, much ahead of the highly anticipated unveiling of Apple Inc’s iPhone 6. The report cites executives of a top-tier local parts supplier for Samsung and explains the move to be directed towards directly taking on Apple’s much-hyped yet-to-be-announced iPhone 6 smartphone.

“Samsung will hold an event to announce the Note 4 on 3 September, just few days before this year’s IFA trade fair in Berlin, Germany Europe’s biggest technology exposition.” the report quotes an executive source as saying. It can be recalled that Samsung had launched the Galaxy Note 3 on 5 September last year (at the sidelines of IFA in Berlin). If rumors are to be gone by then the South Korean firm will soon be sending out official invites for the alleged launch.

Meanwhile, the report also reveals that the latest iteration of the Galaxy Note phablet will come prepared with an ultraviolet sensor. “The Note 4 will be the first smartphone to incorporate an ultraviolet sensor. The sensor can measure UV radiation and offer index levels to Note 4 users inside the ‘S Health’ application.” quotes the report.

An earlier listing on the Indian import/export website, Zauba, tipped that the alleged Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910A) will feature a 14.478-cm (5.7-inch) display.
